My first Vauxhall Carlton, bought primarily as a run-around due to my Manta GTE being taken off the road.

It was cheap and being a GSi 24 valve meant it was a good performer, it needed a few little bits and pieces sorting like the exhaust/s and brakes.

Had the car for about 6 months and disaster struck in the shape of a motorbike, head-on collision writes the car off. Completely not my fault and also uninjured (unlike the biker), the car was bought back after months of hassle for the pricey sum of £50!

Wasn't long before the poor thing was completely stripped and cut up.
